As of June 29, 2020, the Otero County Probate Office will continue to be closed to the public until further notice.
Because of the Supreme Court’s Order No. 20-8500-023, as of June 16, 2020, regarding precautionary measures for court operations in the New Mexico Judiciary during the COVID-19 public health emergency during this crisis, we, the Otero County Probate Court, will continue to accept the Will and No-Will Probate filings by e-mail or fax or sending by mail (probates filed with a will may have separate instructions), and this closure will remain until said order has been amended or withdrawn by any future order of the Supreme Court.

November 26 & 27, 2020 (Thanksgiving Holiday)

January 1, 2021 (Happy New Year Day)
