Bidding Procedures

Otero County advertises all Invitations to Bid and Request for Proposals in the Alamogordo Daily News and other local publications,
as deemed in the best interest of the county,
on various days of the week. The total value of each bid is to be determined by the vendor.

Vendors may obtain bids by requesting the bid number or bid name, for each set of specifications, by contacting the Purchasing department at (575) 434-0710, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You may also obtain a copy of a bid specification at our office:

Bids are opened in an open forum at 1101
New York Avenue at the time noted in the bid specifications. Vendors are welcome (but not required) to attend Bid Openings.

Contracts resulting from bid solicitations are awarded by the Otero County Commission during their regularly scheduled meetings. The agenda for these meetings are posted at the Courthouse and on our website.
