The Otero County Detention Center will have commissary services available to provide convenience items to all inmates.

Contraband

Contraband is anything found in your possession/control, which is prohibited by Law, policies and procedures, or rules and regulations of the Facility.

Inmate Correspondence

Inmates may send and receive mail to whomever they wish but may not correspond with individuals who are incarcerated in a juvenile or adult correctional or detention facility.

The Otero County Detention Center provides inmates access to telephone services through a contractual relationship with a third party vendor located in Dallas, Texas which is currently Securus Technologies, Inc.

Medical

Health Care Services are available for every detainee via the kiosk in each pod or by submitting a written medical request which are then triaged within 24 hours.
