Otero County Healthcare Services Department invites public comment and feedback on the 2019 Community Health Assessment (CHA) utilizing a modified Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) approach.
Any feedback provided before the deadline will be reviewed by the project team prior to completion of the CHA. The team may not be able to incorporate all comments and feedback but welcomes all input from the community.
This CHA was commissioned in response to the changing needs, resources, and expectations of the community.
The CHA uses local data and community and key stakeholder input to provide valuable information about health determinants, indicators, and outcomes in Otero County. The information helps prioritize issues, set goals for improvement, and choose evidence-based approaches that are tailored for our community.
Once completed, the CHA will inform development of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) by justifying how and where resources should be allocated to best meet community needs and expectations for the next 3 – 5 years.
