Teen Traffic Program

The Teen Traffic Program is an alternative sentencing program for first time traffic offenders (ages 15 - 17) who have been cited for a traffic infraction by local Law Enforcement and are eligible for diversion. The program strives for positive development in the local juvenile population, and aims to reduce the amount of youth involved with the court system. The Teen Traffic Program  functions in cooperation with Magistrate and Municipal courts and local law enforcement agencies.

Mission

The Otero County Teen Traffic Program strives to educate and empower first-time youth traffic offenders in our community to make healthy choice, educated decissions, develop positive support, and avoid future interactions with the courts and law enforcement
